Service Description

What better way to channel the boundless energy of kids than to get them using that energy to make toys and instruments. In this course, our preschoolers will learn what is energy, the different types of energy, how energy is generated, transformed and used to do work. During this course, students will harness heat energy to make thing grow and shrink, capture light energy to make their own kaleidoscope, produce melodic sound energy, and transform potential energy into all possible forms of energy. Students will also make wind, hydro and solar energy projects while exploring energy sources and outputs. All this so that they understand how important energy is and why a sustainable energy source is critical to mankind thriving on Earth. After this course, students will understand the basics of energy and how it keeps our societies thriving. Topics covered during the course include the following: Science - heat energy - sound energy - light energy - mechanical energy - chemical energy - sustainable energy sources Art & Music - Make shrink art using heat energy - Design your own flute - Design and make a kaleidoscope Tech - power generation - battery power During term time, this 15-hour course is conducted over 10 lessons of 1.5 hours each. This course is also available as a holiday camp.

Cancellation Policy

You are entitled to reschedule if you notify us at least 7 days prior to the course start date. The first reschedule is free, subsequent changes are subject to a $50 admin fee. No refunds, no rescheduling and no store credit will be given for any cancellations received less than 7 days prior to the course start date.
